The 2007 Harley-Davidson Road King® Agree, Disagree? By George(Owner), Dec. 3, 2008 2 yrs old today Pros-very easy to ride low center of gravity handels great on the highway and good in normal roads bit heavy in the quick turns. strip off the wind screen and you get a much lower look i added the chrome deflector to give it sort of the classic look with out the leather bags (barf)... no issues so far with it at all mech or elec. (knock wood) Cons seat is a bit soft for longer days but fine for 3-4 hours, had hard time finding just the right seat ended up with mustang but it does push me a bit to far fwd but ill trade that for the comfort and the back rest. do the stage 1 kit and pipes the little extra helps with 2 adults on it. overall its great I would buy again the 6 spd is great and with the hard bags and i added the detach king tour pak you can really do the road trip for two. By Geno(Owner), Feb. 6, 2012 I decided to buy a Harley in 2007 after giving up on them back in 1984 when I found Harley cigarettes and cologne for sale at the dealership. Pros: Nice styling, comfortable to ride, plenty of power. Cons: Expensive to own, simple oil change is roughly $80.00, they always find something else that... needs doing and I am typically leaving the shop about $500 - $1,000 dollars lighter each time. I have witnessed the HD death wobble associated with this frame. Harley never offers to repair their defects but rather charges you for an "up grade". Getting ready for the sudden engine failure associated with their bogus chain drive system that fails at about 15-20k miles. If they spent as time and money on their R&D as they do on their legal department they would have a much better motorcycle. For me I say never again.....it's a name and that's all. Read Full Review By Ted Higginbotham(Owner), Dec. 21, 2020 I bought this bike used from my brother. It was my first Harley Davidson purchase. It is a great touring bike for short and long trips. I have not been disappointed by the dependability. I road 1900 miles on my last trip this summer. I have the first year for the six speed and would go back to a fiv... e year of any manufacturers. I get 40 miles to the gallon on the highway at 75 mph. I road non stop 3 hours before I needed fuel. I plan on buying an Ultra for my next bike. I would recommend an 07 and up to anyone for the extra gear. One of the best purchases I ever made and plan on keeping it after 5 years of fun.
